Who we are

Discover Generation provides Google Business Profile verification and growth services to local businesses in the UK and Thailand. This policy covers the personal data we collect through discovergeneration.com and while delivering our services.

What we collect

We collect three categories of personal data:

  • Enquiry details: when you submit a form on the Home page, Contact page or Checkout page, we collect your name, email address, phone number, business name and the sector you select.
  • Order details: if you buy one of our packages through checkout, we collect the same customer details plus the order amount, currency and a reference to the payment processed by our payment provider, Stripe.
  • Visitor analytics: for every visit to the site, we automatically record your IP address, the country (and, where available, city) resolved from it, your device type, operating system and browser, the page you viewed, the site or link you arrived from (referrer), the language shown to you, and the time of the visit.

Why we collect it

We use this data to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and deliver the service you've purchased or asked about.
  • Process payments securely and send order confirmation emails.
  • Understand which pages and markets are performing well, so we can improve the site (segment and traffic analysis).
  • Detect and prevent abuse of our checkout and contact forms.

How long we keep it

Enquiry and order records are kept for as long as needed to provide our services and meet accounting obligations. Visitor analytics are kept in aggregate (country, city, device, browser, page, referrer) indefinitely for reporting purposes, but the raw IP address linked to a visit is automatically deleted 90 days after the visit β€” after that point, a visit is no longer traceable back to a specific IP address.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We share it only with the service providers we rely on to run the site and deliver our service:

  • Stripe β€” processes card payments for our packages. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers.
  • MaxMind β€” provides the IP-to-location lookup we use to resolve country and city for visitor analytics and to show you the right language and currency.
  • Resend β€” sends transactional emails, such as your order confirmation, on our behalf.

Your rights

Depending on where you're based, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of the personal data we hold about you, or to object to certain uses of it. To exercise any of these rights, get in touch through our Contact page and we'll respond as quickly as we can.

Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies: one to remember your chosen language and currency (or the market we've detected for you), and one to link a single visit session together for analytics purposes. These aren't used for third-party advertising.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we collect or use personal data, we'll update this page and revise the date at the top.
